Changes to memberships
Friday 1 April 2016
Today, we are introducing a number of changes to our membership packages. At present, our funding situation for the coming year remains uncertain, but it is clear we will need to reduce our outgoings and become more efficient. We remain fully committed to supporting all our members, and hope that these changes will have minimal effect on your enjoyment of jogscotland.
The changes are:
Free members: Benefits are largely unchanged, but new members will receive a digital Welcome Pack instead of the Log Book, and only digital copies of Stride magazine will be produced.
Full (formerly Gold) members: This category of membership is discontinued from 31 March. Full jogscotland members who were due to renew in March may still renew at the old rate of £18 (so long as they do so in April), and continue to receive the benefits of both jogscotland and scottishathletics memberships for a further year. For others the alternative is to join scottishathletics as an unattached member. For more information, please visit the scottishathletics membership page. Current Full members will, until their annual membership expires, receive a copy of PB magazine through the post, and a digital copy of Stride magazine.
£6 subscriptions: We are discontinuing printing Stride magazine, so you can no longer subscribe to it. A digital version will continue to be available. If you have subscribed and wish a refund for issues you will not receive in printed form (£1.50 per issue), please contact membership@scottishathletics.org.uk.
Jog Leaders: Benefits are largely unchanged, but programmes and support information for new Jog Leaders will be provided on our website, rather than in a printed Jog Leader Manual. Likewise, Stride magazine will now be produced digitally and not in print.
